Umphrey’s McGee have shared an update on their imminent appearance at the Suwannee Amp Jam #2. In a joint post shared on social media, the festival and band announced that Jake Cinninger will not be performing during the group’s two-set appearance this evening, Thursday, Feb. 26, citing personal reasons.
Despite Cinninger’s absence, the show will go on.
According to the official festival schedule, Umphrey’s McGee will perform two sets this evening. The first is billed as “Classic UM,” running from 8:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. After a brief intermission, they’ll pick back up in an alternative form, tapping guest brass and woodwind players Jennifer Hartswick, Skerik, Alex Wasily, and pedal steel guitarist Roosevelt Collier. This frame is titled “All Night Run,” and will run from 10:15 to midnight.
In the aforementioned social media post, which can also be viewed below, the band told fans: “We can’t wait to rock with you and the stellar crew of special guests stepping in – and you know we’ve got a few surprises brewing, too.”
Suwannee Amp Jam #2 begins today, Thursday, Feb. 26, at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Fla. The music schedule kicks off at 5 p.m. with an opening set by the Brock Butler Band. Music continues with the Family Company ahead of Umphrey McGee’s highly anticipated two-set delivery. Select packages and ticket options are available.
