Drive-By Truckers have announced the Southern Rock Opera Revisited 2024 Tour, celebrating 23 years since the release of the band’s acclaimed third studio album Southern Rock Opera. The run will begin on June 7 at Indianapolis’ Egyptian Room at Old National Centre and race across North America through this summer and fall. After 37 further performances, the tour will come to a close with a final set at Nashville, Tenn.’s, historic Ryman Auditorium on Nov. 24.

Succeeding the Indianapolis tour opener, Drive-By Truckers will continue the summer sprint with shows in Missouri, Kentucky and Virginia before two nights in North Carolina, taking the stage at Raleigh, N.C.’s The Ritz on June 13 and Charlotte, N.C.’s The Fillmore Charlotte on June 14. Following performances in Birmingham, Ala. and New Orleans, the group will wind down to the Lone Star State for engagements at Houston’s House of Blues on June 19, ACL Live at the Moody Theater in Austin, Texas on June 20 and a final night at Dallas’ House of Blues on June 21. Continuing further west, the band will stop in Phoenix before four nights up the California coast to San Francisco, where it will play a double feature at The Fillmore on June 28-29. From there, the group will move northwest to Portland, Ore. and Seattle, before trekking to the Mountain West for a night in Salt Lake City and a final summer set at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver on July 6.

The fall run begins on Oct. 16 with a set at the Warner Theatre in Washington. From there, the band will move through New York, Boston and Philadelphia before a single stop in Canada at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall on Oct. 22. Following the performance, the group will head to the Midwest for 10 shows, beginning at Cleveland’s House of Blues on Oct. 23 before a back-to-back performance at the Uptown Theatre in Minneapolis on Oct. 25-26. The headliner tour will usher in another extended stay at Chicago’s House of Blues on Nov. 1-2 before nights in Cincinnati and Detroit. Finally, the Truckers will return to the Southeast for a two-night run at Asheville, N.C.’s, The Orange Peel on Nov. 7-8, a Nov. 9 home-state set at Atlanta’s Tabernacle and a final culminating presentation at Tennessee’s Ryman Auditorium.

The Southern Rock Opera Revisited Tour will include performances of Southern Rock Opera in its entirety for the first time in 22 years. Alongside the album, the band will incorporate songs from its nearly three decades of recordings to reflect changes of the band’s identity and sound and the transformation of the world since the dawn of the 21st century. The celebrated record, which was self-released in 2001, was later picked up and reissued by Lost Highway Records in 2002 following the band’s independent success.

A ticket request portal is open now and will remain live until Monday, March 25 at 5 p.m. ET. General on-sale begins Friday, March 29 at 10 a.m. local time. For more information, visit drivebytruckers.com
