Beanstalk Music Festival has released the artist lineup for its 2024 presentation, scheduled to return to Rancho Del Rio in Bond, Colo. on August 8-10. This will be the 12th run of the three-day festival, hosted by Colorado-based jam band Magic Beans since its 2013 inauguration. Alongside the organizing group, other headliners set to visit the secluded Colorado River Valley are synthwave sextet Doom Flamingo and rising singer-songwriter Karina Rykman.
The festival will kick off at the Rancho Del Rio resort on the afternoon of Thursday, August 8. Over the course of the three nights, Magic Beans, Rykman and Doom Flamingo will lead a bill of 20 acts including Cycles, Eminence Ensemble, Squeaky Feet, Banshee Tree, Yam Yam and Dragondeer. Meanwhile, on Friday and Saturday, the secondary River Stage will host DJ sets from BkellZ and Tri-Tip. After the festivities on the latter two nights, the festival will offer a special selection of late-night performances to keep the music going: first, on Friday, Denver electro-funk group Juno What?! will take the stage, followed by the Daft Punk tribute Around the World, from Blake Mobey & Friends, on Saturday.
Beyond shining a spotlight on Colorado’s local music scene, the festival emphasizes going off the grid and experiencing the valley’s natural bounty. Off the stage, outdoor offerings include cliff jumping, mountain biking, hot springs and hiking trails to explore the striking backdrop of the historic frontier. Prospective attendees should prepare to be out of cell reception for the weekend and “release themselves from the modern world in order to embrace the experience free from distraction,” per the festival website.
