On Saturday, Dec. 2, the Disco Biscuits closed their time at the North Beach Music Festival in Miami. During their slot, the band turned out a single set, which included assistance from drummer Adam Deitch during a song that arrived after the halfway point of the performance. Also of note, the band dusted off a cover of LCD Soundsystem’s “Tribulations.”

The frame commenced with a newer original, “Spaga’s Last Stand,” which entered Disco Biscuits’ archive less than a year ago, on Dec. 31, 2022, during the band’s NYE stand in Chicago. The first song merged into their follow-up, “Tricycle,” inevitably ascending to the night’s opener for a jammed-out, segued start to the show.

After a pause, the music resumed on the 2001 They Missed the Perfume cut, “Mindless Dribble,” which ultimately ran over into “Who’s in Charge.” Deitch took his spot behind the kit just in time for an inverted take on a long-time staple, “Confrontation.” The latter blossomed into LCD Soundsystem’s “Tribulations,” last played on Dec. 30, 2021.

Serving as the final song, Disco Biscuits landed on another 2001 number, this time, “Spacebirdmatingcall.” Following the band’s festival stand, they will take time away from the road leading to their NYE celebration in Philadelphia with Neighbor. For tickets, visit the band’s official website
