On June 16, The Flaming Lips will release a new limited edition pink-pressed vinyl EP, Hypnotist. The collection pulls four fan-favorite tracks, which were previously only available on the 6-CD Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots 20th Anniversary Box Set. 

The Hypnotist EP commences with a 24-minute rendition of “Psychedelic Hypnotist Daydream” and concludes with an instrumental take on the group’s hit, “Do You Realize??” Also included on the impending set are “Duck Dodgers Theme (Duck Dodgers Demo: With Wayne Scratch Vocal)” and “I Know I’ve Got To Make That Dream The Real Thing (Demo).” 

News of the group’s mid-June release comes in the midst of their current tour, which celebrates the Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots collection, with shows slated for the Midwest, including a Friday, May 5 stop at Chicago’s The Salt Shed. Summer dates extend through August and wrap with an outdoor concert at Odgen Amphitheatre in Ogden, Utah, on August 26. View more here.
