The Baseball Project have announced an extensive summer run. The band, which is comprised of members Steve Wynn, Scott McCaughey, Linda Pitmon, Peter Buck and Mike Mills, will embark on a series of tour dates beginning on August 8 at the Saturn in Birmingham, Ala., before working their way up the Eastern Seaboard and into the Midwest region of the U.S.

After kicking off their jaunt in the Cotton State, the group will proceed to Atlanta’s Terminal West on August 9, followed by another Georgia gig at Athens’ 40 Watt on August 10. Next, they’ll make a series of stops in the Carolinas, Florida and Virginia– two shows will be with Jason Isbell– prior to their August 17 concert at The Hamilton in Washington, D.C.

In continuation of their tour, the band will pick up a date at Brooklyn Made in New York City on August 18. Then, they will proceed with a trek through Massachusetts and Connecticut, followed by an August 22 performance at Philadelphia’s World Cafe Live. They’ll move over to Pittsburgh’s Thunderbird Music Hall the next night.

A one-night stand at Cleveland’s Beachland Ballroom will occur on August 24. After a night in Kalamazoo, Mich., at Bell’s Beer Garden, the musicians will pop over to Indianapolis, where they’ll play at the Old National Centre on August 26. The last stops will take place at Space in Evanston, Ill., on August 27, followed by the tour finale on August 28 at Turner Hall in Milwaukee, Wis.

On the road, The Baseball Project will continue its tradition of performing songs inspired and written about America’s favorite pastime. Their new tour dates come after a break from the stage for the ensemble; scroll down to view a complete list of forthcoming tour dates.
