To help commemorate Dead & Company’s final tour, the Chicago Cubs will once again host a Grateful Dead Night on Tuesday, May 23. The event will occur prior to the band’s final stand at Wrigley Field in Chicago on June 9 and 10.

The impending baseball game will bring the Chicago Cubs and New York Mets to a head, days after Dead & Company–Bobby Weir, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Jeff Chimenti, Oteil Burbridge and John Mayer–commence their last run, on May 19 at The Forum in Los Angeles.

A portion of the proceeds raised through the sale of the MLB tickets will be donated to the Rex Foundation–a nonprofit organization created by the Grateful Dead family and friends in 1983–which provides community support to small organizations to assist the arts, sciences, education, the environment and social justice.

In addition, those who secure a ticket to the upcoming sports event will also receive a special-edition bobblehead. After purchasing admission, a prompt to select from five colorways will appear, giving folks a memento to remember the experience by. See below.
