The New School has announced they’ll host a concert in benefit of Ukraine at the Tishman Auditorium on their campus in New York City on Feb. 12, 2023.
The evening, presented by John Zorn and the College of Performing Arts at The New School, will feature four ensembles: the Laurie Anderson-John Zorn Duo comprised of Laurie Anderson (violin, voice) and John Zorn (alto sax); Brooklyn Rider featuring Johnny Gandelsman (violin), Colin Jacobsen (violin), Nicholas Cords (viola) and Michael Nicolas (cello); the Marc Ribot-Mary Halvorson Duo made up of Marc Ribot and Mary Halvorson but on guitar; and the Ravi Coltrane Quartet which is made up of Ravi Coltrane (tenor sax), Adam Rogers (guitar), Dezron Douglas (bass) and Kush Abadey (drums).
General admission tickets are free with a suggested donation of $50 or more to Razom, a non-profit Ukrainian-American human rights organization established in 2014 to support the people of Ukraine, whose name means “together” in Ukrainian.
Doors will open at 11:30 a.m.
