Animal Liberation Orchestra have announced that they will celebrate their 25th anniversary as an ensemble with a single-night stand slated for March 25 at The Fillmore in San Francisco. The one-off event is billed to include an appearance by Silver Saturday Soiree and special guest Ron Artis II.

The quartet’s 25th-anniversary concert will include original members Zach Gill (keys, vocals), Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz (guitar, vocals) and Steve Adams (bass, vocals), as well as Ezra Lipp (drums, vocals), who has covered the kit for Dave Brogan since 2018 (approximately).

So far, the band’s upcoming performance marks their only on-stage gig scheduled for 2023. Last spring, ALO played at BeachLife Festival in Redondo Beach, Calif., after completing Tour d’Amour XV, a 12-date trek on the West Coast.

ALO mainstays, Gill, Aams and Lebowitz, have performed together since 1989 when the group was still in junior high. The band appeared under various names and eventually solidified its current title in the late-‘90s. In turn, ALO delivered its debut LP, ALO vs. LAG, in 1998 and began making a name for themselves on the San Francisco live music scene.

Tickets for Animal Liberation Orchestra’s 25th-anniversary celebration are on sale now.
