On Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, Ween stopped by the Beacon Theatre in New York City to celebrate Halloween. Over the course of the two evenings, the band comprised of Gene Ween, Dean Ween, Dave Dreiwitz, Claude Coleman Jr. and Glenn McClelland ripped through extensive set lists playing cult favorites from their vast discography. For the Halloween evening show, the musicians were dressed as squirrels equipped with nuts.

Halloween’s show kicked off with “I’m Dancing in the Show” and was a non-stop ride as the Pennsylvania-bred group moved through 31 songs in the main set, one for each day of October. As they flowed through the final night of October, they hit upon favorites, including “Piss Up a Rope,” “Voodoo Lady,” “Baby Bitch,” “Roses Are Free,” “Help Me Scrape the Mucus Off My Brain,” “She’s Your Baby,” “Buckingham Green” and many more. Towards the tail end of the set, Ween played “Push th’ Little Daisies,” during the song, Dean handled lead vocals before they closed the set with “Papa Zit,” “Captain Fantasy,” and “You Fucked Up.”

For the encore, they returned for “Birthday Boy,” “Spinal Meningitis (Got Me Down),” and “Homo Rainbow” to close out the night.

For the second evening of their stay at the historic New York institution Ween once again dove deep into the depths of their discography, picking fan favorites from the ocean floor, starting with “The Mollusk.” From there, they ripped through 28 tracks – with no repeats from the previous evening. Highlights included “Bananas and Blow,” “The Golden Eel,” “You Were the Fool,” “Tried and True,” “Stroker Ace,” “Suckin the Blood From the Devil’s Dick,” a nod to the venue “Beacon Light” and more.

They closed the set with “She Wanted to Leave,” and for the encore – for those who wanted to stay – Ween played “Tender Situation,” “The Blarney Stone,” and finally, “Fluffy” to end the night.
