Last night, Dave Matthews Band returned to the stage at The Gorge Amphitheatre in Gorge, Wash., for the final stand of their annual run at the breathtaking venue along the mighty Columbia River. As is tradition, the ensemble descended to the fabled location ahead of the Sept. 5, Labor Day holiday. Friday night’s display brought forth bust-outs, and on Saturday, the band welcomed their openers, Eric Krasno and Celisse, on stage to independently assist on a selection of tunes. Then, the group continued last night with their third and final stand on the historic stage, where they delivered a bust out of “#34” during the night’s encore.

Dave Matthews Band’s Sept. 4 concert began with “Proudest Monkey” off 1996’s Crash, before turning back the clock to 1993 with fan favorite, “Satellite.” Then, the ensemble moved into “Pantala Naga Pampa,” which ran into “Rapunzel.” The single-set performance continued with “Do You Remember” before “You Might Die Trying” and “Walk Around the Moon.” Midway through the set, the band covered The Isley Brothers’ seminal track “It’s Your Thing,” which brought forth an added level of fun and funk.

The troupe followed with “Lie in Our Graves” and “Again and Again” before they landed on “Funny the Way It Is.” Next, Dave Matthews Band slowed things down with “Lover Lay Down,” which saw exquisite instrumentation and a perfected saxophone solo by Jeff Coffin. Next, they turned the heat up on jammed-out takes on “Jimi Thing” and “Cornbread.” The latter saw assistance by Joe Lawlor, who joined the band on stage for the tune. Then, “Steady as We Go” arrived before they ran through “Typical Situation” and “Drive In, Drive Out.”

As the 19-song main set came to a close, the group landed on “Dancing Nancies” off their 1994 LP, Under the Table and Dreaming, before stepping back into 1993’s Remember Two Things, with the crowd pleaser, “Ants Marching.” For their encore, the band began with a bust out of “#34,” which was last performed on Sept. 7, 2018, at Harvey’s Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena in Stateline, Nev. Next, they choose to play “So Right,” before capping the unforgettable Pacific Northwest weekend with “What Are You.”

After this weekend’s events in Gorge, Wash., Dave Matthews Band will take a brief break from the road before reconvening this Friday, Sept. 9 at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in Greenwood Village, Colo. There, the band will perform a two-night stand before heading to the Southwest region of the United States for a Sept. 14 gig at AK-Chin Pavilion. Tickets to the band’s forthcoming shows are on sale now and can be purchased here
