On Tuesday, The String Cheese Incident kicked off their two-night run at the Greenfield Lake Amphitheater in Wilmington, N.C. The show was cut short due to inclement weather and the Colorado-based ensemble was forced to head inside. However, they continued their performance with a livestreamed backstage acoustic set lush with fan favorites and rare tracks.

The String Cheese Incident kicked things off with “Indian Creek,” World Gone Crazy” and ” Can’t Wait Another Day.” Next, they jammed from “Windy Mountain” into “Get Tight.” The first set continued with a three-track improvisational segment of “Believe” into “Big Sandy River” and appropriately “Black Clouds,” which closed the set.

After heading indoors and with the livestream still in full swing sextet jammed for a while before playing a stripped-down acoustic rendition of Peter Rowan’s “Trail of Tears” marking the first time they performed the song since 2004. They then played their very own keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth’s original “Missin’ Me” which segued into Bill Monroe’s “Wheel Hoss.” Next came a cover of Gram Parson’s “Ooh Las Vegas” and Bob Marley’s iconic “Redemption Song,” which was last heard in 2004. The final cover of the evening followed, J.J. Cale’s seminal “After Midnight.” The String Cheese Incident closed the intimate livestream set with a pairing of “Valley Of The Jig” and “Boo Boo’s Pik-A-Nik.”
