Umphrey’s McGee have announced in addition to their annual Red Rocks run, co-headling tour with The Disco Biscuits and festival appearances they’ve extended their summer and fall tour through September into October with a batch of newly announced dates.

The first new date will take place at The Observatory North Park in San Diego on Sept. 1, they’ll continue moving through The Golden State with stops Los Angeles, Oakland. Then head east the Biggest Little City in the World, Reno, Nev., Salt Lake City, and Bozeman, Mo. After some time off they’ll perform in Virgina before heading deeper south to North Carolina, Georga and Alabama.

The additional dates come hot off the heels of their new single “So Much,” from their upcoming LP Asking For A Friend which music journalist and author David Fricke, calls “the best and most emotionally direct album Umphrey’s McGee have ever made.”
