Last night, guitarist Stu Allen announced that he and Mars Hotel will perform at The Junction’s outdoor stage off the Shoreline Highway in Mill Valley, Calif. on Monday, April 25.

The performance which is being touted as Hundred Year Hall–named for the Grateful Dead’s first album after the passing of Jerry Garcia–will be a recreation of a show from the Grateful Dead’s Europe ’72 tour, though the specific date of recreation has yet to be specified.

During the performance, Allen will be playing Garcia’s heavily modified maple-necked 1955 Stratocaster which was used in recording the double live album Europe ’72 – lovingly referred to as his “Alligator” guitar.

The news of the show comes hot off the heels that Dark Star Orchestra will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Grateful Dead’s Europe ’72 tour with a tour of their own starting on Sept. 13. The tour will see Dark Star Orchestra make stops in cities, including London, Paris, Cologne, Berlin, Rome and more.
