Connecticut folk jamband Goose have shared their latest single “Hungersite” along with an accompanying music video. The release marks the third song off their upcoming album, Dripfield set to release on June 24.
“Hungersite” was recorded at the ISOKON in Woodstock, N.Y. and produced and engineered by D. James Goodwin. The accompanying music video was written by Carina Immer and filmed and edited by Scott Sweitzer and filmed around Connecticut. During the video, the band captures the mundane air of the nine to five life and the small ways to overcome its harsh reality, be it through dance, music or small acts of kindness.
“Whenever broaching global commentary territory, even if discreet and non-invasive in nature, it seems important to simultaneously challenge awareness of the self, and how we may or may not be living up to the ideals to which we speak,” said guitarist/singer Rick Mitarotonda of the song in a release.
“Hungersite” comes hot on the heels of Goose’s first-ever arena show at Connecticut’s own Mohegan Sun Arena. See photos from the evening here.
