New York natives ulu have announced the upcoming release of their March 30, 2002 concert at The Knitting Factory in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the band’s live performance. The first set is available to download and stream now, and the second set will be released on April 6.

The seminal show featured the final performances by David Hoffman (drums) and Justin Wallace (bass), leaving Scott Chasolen (keys) and Aaron Gardner (tenor saxophone, flute) to tour with a new rhythm section following the ensemble’s 2002 show at The Knitting Factory.

ulu frequented the New York music scene for eight years, with regular appearances at The Wetlands Preserve and The Knitting Factory. Together, the band toured across the country and recorded four LPs featuring various artist lineups.
