Last night, the Disco Biscuits performed their second night this weekend at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y. The April Fool’s evening saw the Philadelphia band of brothers flow through the evening with a collection of spacy jams from throughout their discography along with some iconic covers.

After an opening night that saw classics exclusively, The Disco Biscuits set the scene with the rousing and recent “Nughuffer,” which was released in 2017. Next came the start of a run of songs that would go on until the close of the set. It began with “Spaga,” lush with an intro of Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata.” The song flowed into “Running Into the Night” > “Aceetobee.” They closed the set with a song penned by bassist Marc Brownstein, “Rock Candy.”

Set two kicked off with the first cover of the evening, Pink Floyd’s “Run Like Hell,” which led into inverted versions of “Confrontation” and “Crickets.” They continued their non-stop second set and famous light show delivering 2017’s “Aquatic Ape.” They closed with “Basis for a Day” off 1996’s Encephalous Crime.

They came back on stage to encore with “Friend Like Steve,” which was followed by a cover of the Grateful Dead’s “Feel Like a Stranger” to cap off the evening. The Disco Biscuits will play again at The Capitol Theatre again tonight.
