Goose have announced they will release their third studio album, Dripfield, on June 24. In conjunction with the announcement, the Connecticut rock group released the upcoming 10-track LP’s title song and an accompanying music video along with details for their forthcoming summer tour.

The “Dripfield” showcases a departure from Goose’s usual live folk-jam approach and instead displays their prowess with studio production through otherworldly synths and cascading vocals. The video marks the band’s second collaboration with director Dylan Hahn, following the track’s sister song “Borne,” and was shot over three days in the Mojave Desert.

“To me, every music video project is a new task of understanding the artist and finding what I think is the best visual interpretation for them and their music,” said Hahn in a press release. “Collaborating with Goose, learning their unique humor and energy, and involving it in the story narrative was a rewarding part of the process.”

Goose’s summer tour is set to kick off with two nights at the Westville Music Bowl in New Haven, Conn., on May 27 and 28 and run through Aug. 28, where it will conclude at The Square in Portland, Ore. They’ll make stops at iconic venues, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Radio City Music Hall and the Greek Theatre.

“The underlying idea of Dripfield is that of saturation,” added frontman Rick Mitarotonda in the press release. “Imagine a piece of earth – it’s kind of like the water level rising and seeping up to the top. It’s a metaphor for the creativity we have inside of us. I’m not sure what pulls it out of us – maybe it’s our subconscious.”

Goose are set to perform at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., this weekend, which will be livestreamed for free at The Relix Channel on Twitch.

Tickets for the summer tour dates go on sale Friday, Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. Find tickets here.
