Goose closed out night one of their New Year’s Eve run at The Rivera Theatre in Chicago, Ill., with a collection of groovy tunes that kept the crowd moving throughout the evening.

The Connecticut natives opened with “Rockdale,” performed live for the first time on Oct. 31 at The Palladium in Worchester, Mass. Goose continued with a funky “Time to Flee,” followed by “Jive II” before dropping into “SOS” and “(dawn)” off the 2021 LP Shenanigans Nite Club.

The first set continued with “Bob Don,” followed by “Yeti,” which first appeared on the 2020 EP Night Lights. Goose closed out the first half of the show with “Tumble.”

The second set picked up with “Earthlings or Aliens?” into “726.” Goose played a backbeat version of “Echo of a Rose” next and followed up with a cover of Pat Bennitar’s “Love Is A Battlefield.”

The band closed out the latter part of the evening with “Travelers” into “Echo of a Rose” reprised. Next, Goose performed “Hot Tea,” which featured a “That’s All” by Genesis teaser, followed by an encore performance of Fat Freddy’s Drop’s “Fish in The Sea.”
