Phish played the second night of their four-night run at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena for the Halloween weekend. The evening’s events followed Phish’s numbers-themed set.

The show kicked off two recently revived tracks that, for years, have lived on in different forms: “Olivia’s Pool,” which transformed over the years into “Shafty,” and “Axilla II,” which was shelved in favor of its precursor “Axilla I.” However, they always retained elements of the former song. Both tracks feature reference’s to pools. They continued with “Mike’s Song” >” I Am Hydrogen” > “Weekapaug Groove.”

Throughout the first set, Trey Anastasio and Mike Gordon quoted “Little Squirrel,” the final track off of Bivouac Jaun, a recording Anastasio made with future Phish songwriter Tom Marshall and early Phish contributor and childhood friend Marc Daubert in the early 1980s. Phish played the same song during Makisupa Policeman in Santana Barbara, Calif., earlier in the week. Curiously, earlier this fall, Phish also debuted “And So to Bed,” a long-forgotten original that appeared on Phish’s demo album “The White Tape,” which contained material from Bivouac Jaun.

They closed the first set with “I Always Wanted It This way” with a tease of “There Is a Mountain,” which was likely a nod to Duane Allman, who passed away 50-years-ago yesterday.

They kicked off the second set with “Ass Handed” > “Tweezer” > “Funky Bitch.” They quoted Little Squirrel” again during “Reba” and teased “Tweezer during “Sand.” They closed the second set with “Sigma Oasis” > “Walk Away.”

Phish closed the night with an encore of “Julius” > “Tweezer Reprise.”
