At 12 Noon on Saturday, Oct. 2, beloved brass band The Soul Rebels will perform a free show at Washington D.C.’s Freedom Plaza as a part of the Women’s March Rally for Abortion Justice.

“Our band, The Soul Rebels, stands up for women’s rights, civil rights and all human rights and freedoms. We are honored to be invited to support and perform at the Women’s March rally, and unite with this extraordinarily important and crucial advocacy”, trumpeter Julian Gosin said via press release.

The band will also play a 21+ show the evening before – Oct. 1 – at D.C.’s Songbyrd Music House.

“When the Supreme Court rejected an emergency request to block Texas’s abortion ban, they effectively took the next step towards overturning Roe v. Wade. Simply put: We are witnessing the most dire threat to abortion access in our lifetime,” reads the Oct. 2 march’s official description. “That’s why we’re marching in every single state and in our nation’s capital Washington, DC – on October 2 before the Supreme Court reconvenes. We need to send an unmistakable message about our fierce opposition to restricting abortion access and overturning Roe v. Wade before it’s too late.”
