For this week’s edition of All The Years Live, Grateful Dead HQ is taking us back to the summer of 1993 with a rendition of “The Weight,” live from Robert F. Kennedy Stadium in Washington D.C.
Explains GD legacy manager/archivist David Lemieux, “One of the most welcome additions to the Dead’s cover-song repertoire, The Band’s classic ‘The Weight’ made its debut with the Dead in March 1990 at Nassau Coliseum, and was always well-received, with the band alternating lead vocals. ‘The Weight’ would end up being the final song Brent Mydland played with the Dead, on July 23, 1990 in Tinley Park, IL.”

August 22, 2021 at 12:06 amMan, I almost AT THIS SHOW! I even had a ticket but my friends didn’t pick me up. Still have outfit I was gonna wear too! Cargo pants and a sweet tie-dye! I love the Grateful Dead! I saw them over 8 times in the 90’s!

August 19, 2021 at 2:14 pmTHAT GUY LOOKS LIKE A HOT-ASS HIPPY! TOTO FILF, IMHO. PPl who need that booster shot are not “fully” vaxxed, ya’ll! This means they are spreading disease at shows, UNLESS they get tested b4. Plz update all entrance policies ASAP requiring tests for all so I don’t kill my kids by vaxxident. Thanks!!
