This April, Dave Matthews Band will release their newest Live Trax offering – showcasing their April 29, 2009 show at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Alpharetta, Ga.

According to an official description, Live Trax Vol. 55 is a snapshot of the band just before the release of their Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King LP.

“New tunes like ‘Funny the Way It Is’ and ‘Why I Am’ made their live debut and held their own next to DMB classics such as ‘Everyday’ and ‘Rhyme & Reason,’ the latter featuring Joe Lawlor on electric guitar,” it continues. “This show from Alpharetta, GA also captures the live debut of ‘Beach Ball’ and the rare, full band rendition of ‘Rye Whiskey.’ The energy throughout this show feels fresh and the band was clearly ready to share new material with the fans all summer long.”

The show will be available in triple-CD, mp3 and FLAC formats.
