On Feb. 26, 2021, Willie Nelson will drop That’s Life a brand new covers album honor the work of Frank Sinatra.
That’s Life will be the 71s LP of Nelson’s storied career, following 2020’s First Rose of Spring.
“I learned a lot about phrasing listening to Frank,” Nelson recently rold AARP magazine. “He didn’t worry about behind the beat or in front of the beat, or whatever—he could sing it either way, and that’s the feel you have to have.”

December 11, 2020 at 10:20 pmOf course the Dylan comparison is the first thing that springs to mind. But Nelson’s approach is very different; much string arrangements. Interesting to have various interpretations I feel.
