After previously announcing a Labor Day Weekend triple feature, Phish will offer their Dinner and a Movie broadcast monthly – rather than weekly – starting on September 29.
“Following this weekend’s festivities, Dinner And A Movie will downshift to an approximately once-a-month schedule,” the quartet wrote in a statement. “We know these nights have been (and will continue to be) important until we can be together again in person.”
The band later notes that since March, Dinner And A Movie donations raised over $650,000 for various causes.
After Labor Day Weekend, the next DAAM will take place on Tuesday, September 29.
See the band’s full statement below:
Our Dinner And A Movie Labor Day weekend triple-feature begins tomorrow (Friday) at 8:30PM ET and continues Saturday and Sunday at webcast.livephish.com.
Following this weekend’s festivities, Dinner And A Movie will downshift to an approximately once-a-month schedule. We know these nights have been (and will continue to be) important until we can be together again in person.
A huge thanks to all of you who have joined us on Tuesday nights, made dinner with us, and donated to one of the incredible non-profits The WaterWheel Foundation has selected every week. Together we’ve raised over $650,000 since we began in March. Mark your calendars — our next Dinner And A Movie will be on Tuesday, September 29!
For the dinner component of this Dicks-pectacular, we’ll be offering recipes each night from some of the best chefs in the country. Beyond being known for their incredible talent and innovation, these three chefs have something else in common: they’re all Phish fans. Friday features recipes from Mark Welker and Mike Pyers (the executive pastry chef and culinary director at Eleven Madison Park, respectively), Saturday features Doug Rankin (executive chef of Los Angeles’ Bar Restaurant) and the Sunday finale features Chef Molly Nickerson (executive chef at Marea). All of the recipes have been collated here: livephi.sh/daam23.
The beneficiary for the full weekend is The Mockingbird Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to music education for America’s youth. Donate now now via The Waterwheel Foundation at phish.com/waterwheel. For more information, visit mbird.org.

September 7, 2020 at 10:04 amWow. I’m extremely grateful for the generosity these guys have shown. In a time of uncertainty, they gave me something to look forward to every week when there was nothing out there. As a man who just starting a divorce process and who was quarantined from from his kids for almost 3 months, Phish offered me a glimmer of hope and entertainment that no one else was offering. I will always be filled with joy on Tuesdays looking back on a terribly dark chapter in my life. Thank you Phish for everything. Been a fan since I heard a bootleg tape in 1995 of a 1993 Gunnison CO show we’re they covered Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, and Lynard Skynard along with some classics like Squirming Coil, PYITE, YEM and so on. I’ve been blessed with their music for over two and a half decades.

September 4, 2020 at 4:13 pmWith some notable exceptions, 3.0 can be really stale. However I’m always down to see some 1.0 shows. Sigma Oasis is easily their best album since Farmhouse. Can’t wait to see them tour on it next year.

September 4, 2020 at 1:03 pmPeople had become bored, myself included. Viewership went from 35K at it’s peak to 9K the last feew weeks. Good move by Trey…

September 4, 2020 at 11:43 amCan we move to Phridays or Saturdays? Honestly, this has been therapeutic, but Tuesdays are tough for this parent of school aged children.
Who cares?
September 4, 2020 at 8:13 amYou could already stream the stuff on YouTube anyway aside from a couple of 1.0 shows so what does it matter?

September 4, 2020 at 8:03 amNothing but gratitude here. Thank you for helping us move through some incredibly tough times with your creativity and love. Looking forward to this weekend’s shows, and then again on the 29th. Please stay well everyone!

September 4, 2020 at 7:06 amScale back the dinners, not the shows. Unless you’re a chef with hours to spend cooking these fancy recipes with dozens of expensive ingredients, forget about it.

September 3, 2020 at 11:20 pmI’ve been grateful for the Tuesday shows, they’ve helped immensely through these months. They’ve been something to look forward to every week. Whatever their reason I respect it, there’s no reason to get nasty about it.

September 3, 2020 at 9:19 pmAs an old school fan, etc. I can say that it is wrong. Helping people to get through this is great, but we all helped them out too. The Tuesday thing works for everyone, sometimes not. But taking that away sucks. Some people spent their live savings just to see you. And would again. I think you or whomever you are should reconsider.

September 5, 2020 at 8:24 pmI get you, like the way acts like Metallica, Cardi B, whoever…-the way THOSE acts give back to THEIR fans who spend lots of money on THEM?! Yeah, i guess i’ll hafta wait until another band does free downloads for the rest of the year. Yeah, a free show every month is “taking it away”. What a selfish band this PHiSH is.

September 3, 2020 at 8:19 pmTypical Jambands fans BS. Such a super cool move by Phish to give us something to do for MONTHS. They downshift during the school year after raising 650k and you dorks talk trash.

September 3, 2020 at 6:31 pmDon’t know where all the negativity is coming from. I appreciate all they have done and I’m looking forward the next Dinner and a Movie and I am REALLY looking forward to the next time we are all together in person. SPAC or MSG in 2021? We can hope!

September 4, 2020 at 9:34 amWhile is there’s no need for the extreme negativity, it would’ve been nice to know why they decided to scale back. If they’ve already raised $650000 then why stop now? Hopefully they’re focusing on NYE. 🤞

September 5, 2020 at 2:00 pmExactly. As a fan base we’ve been lucky to be able to enjoy this on a weekly basis.
Quit the negativity people.

September 3, 2020 at 5:42 pmThis is one band that needs to STFU and go away for good…
Turrible
September 3, 2020 at 4:32 pmThis is bad marketing, they have a content library that exceeds no other. Stay top of mind for your fans so they don’t get alienated by Treys Covid ballads
Real lame
September 3, 2020 at 4:23 pmHow many 100s of shows do they have since 3.0 started, all streamed. Then a 100-150 from 2.0. This is a real slap in the face to an extremely loyal fan base.
The next step is charging….
AllThingsReconsidered
September 5, 2020 at 4:54 pmSlap in the face? Really?! I’ve been on since ’95, and with the many highs and a few lows, it’s been a great ride throughout. “The next step is charging”…OMG, imagine that, a band charging fans to view their performances. The lads have been doing this for free every week for about six months now, and helping many great charities as well. They “owe” us nothing. Entitled much?
