“With physical Immersions temporarily on hold, IGE is tapping its vast network of global musicians to produce collaborative new music videos in creative and fiscal support for the artists and crew,” read a press release.

The release continued: “Original compositions and cover tunes performed for this Immersion were funded by IGE in partnership with its community. With the upcoming livestream broadcast, they are now being presented to a wider audience to raise additional funds.”

“Immersions are all of the best things that you would hope for from a concert or festival or a communal experience wrapped into one and stretched over nine or ten days in a beautiful foreign place,” said Ross James via release. “Meeting people and making friends that you would never meet before. Musical collaborations that are unexpected and spontaneous. It’s all about music and community. Taking what we do and maybe what we can’t quite do at home because of so many different blocks whether it’s ways your supposed to act, ways your supposed to be – everybody feels a lot more present and in the moment and with each other when we’re all in it together like we are in these Immersions.”

“IGE believes that art and artists are the voice and conscience of society. Never in our memories has their silence been so profound, or our need for inspiration so imperative,” added Michael Becker, president and founder of IGE. “Your participation in and contribution to the Virtual Immersion Project articulates our aspirations and draws us closer in community.”

The event is encouraging people to donate to IGE at paypal.com/paypalme/igemusic. Folks can tune in on YouTube, Facebook or nugs.tv.
