On Mar. 8, The Allman Betts Band performed at the Palace Theatre in Los Angeles. The show was highlighted by a series of exciting sit-ins, with The Doors’ Robby Krieger, former Black Crowes guitarist Marc Ford and Gov’t Mule drummer Matt Abts joining the band at various points.
Before any of the sit-ins occurred, Allman Betts Band performed a couple of Allman Brothers covers: “Ain’t Wastin’ Time No More” and “Blue Sky.” The first sit-in – Gov’t Mule’s Matt Abts – occurred during another Allman Brothers cover, “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed.”
After a guestless “Down to the River,” Krieger and Ford emerged for a performance of “Trouble No More.” The band then performed The Doors’ “Roadhouse Blues” to end the set. Ford returned for the encore for a cover of The Black Crowes’ “Wiser Time.”
Check out fan-shot videos of the sit-ins below, as well as the complete setlist.

March 12, 2020 at 1:05 pmDude! I’d have liked to seen that! I’ll be missing them with Blackberry Smoke in August unless better tickets — and prices — come available. On Day 1, of pre-sale no less, I was already relegated to upper tiers. No thanks!
