On Mar. 7, Leftover Salmon opened for ALO at The Warfield in San Francisco. The show marked both bands’ first ever appearance at the venue. Members of Leftover Salmon sat in with ALO during their encore.

Salmon’s set kicked off with “Boogie,” followed by “Show Me Something Higher.” Later, the band covered Albert King’s “Like a Road.” They closed the set with “Ain’t No Use.”

ALO began their set with “Get To Do It Again,” a relatively new song from their 2019 EP Creatures Vol. 1: Spark (it was originally released as the first single back in July of 2019). The band later played “The Rain,” also from Vol. 1, as well as “Baby Blind Spot,” a track of Creatures Vol. 2: Weave (released in 2020).

The highlight of the show was the mid-set sequence beginning with “Shapeshifter,” during which the band moved into “What The World Needs Now,” then “My Favorite Things,” then The Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love,” all before returning to “Shapeshifter.” The set closed with a pairing of “Room for Bloomin'” > “Ride Captain Ride.”

For the encore, the band brought out Vince Herman, Andy Thorn and Drew Emmitt from Leftover Salmon, as well as Asher Belsky and Wavy Gravy. The group covered the Grateful Dead’s “New Speedway Boogie.” After Gravy left the stage, the band closed out the show with their first ever rendition of “Join Together.”
