King Crimson have tapped The Zappa Band (featuring members of the late-rocker’s ensemble) as support for their upcoming North American tour.

Last year, the prog-rock titans celebrated their 50th year, and in 2020 they show no signs of slowing down. King Crimson will play dates through the East, including stops in New Orleans (June 9), Philadelphia (June 14), Boston (June 18), Queens, NY (June 19) and Baltimore (June 28).

The current King Crimson roster is helmed by Robert Fripp and includes Mel Collins, Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto, Gavin Harrison, Jakko Jakszyk, and Jeremy Stacey.

The Zappa Band will include two former Zappa Plays Zappa members guitarist Jamie Kime and drummer Joe “Vaultmeister” Travers, as well as Ray White (lead vocals, guitar), Mike Keneally (guitar, keys, vocals), Scott Thunes (bassist) and Robert Martin (keyboards, sax, vocals).
