Dreamland has announced its first two-day festival, raising awareness of America’s immigrant roots, on May 2-3 in Austin, Texas.

Dispatch will be headlining and additional acts include Alejandro Escovedo, Atash, Bob Schneider & His Band, Carolyn Wonderland, Del Castillo, Ian Moore, Jesse Dayton, Kalu & The Electric Joint, Mélat, Oliver Rajamani, Shinyribs, Úlla. The complete list of the headliners will be announced in a few weeks.

According to a recent press release, “Dreamland is playful and purposeful, colorful and connective, indulgent and introspective.” Steve Kuhn, who conceptualized the festival, said: “We want to bring people together. We want to open minds and hearts and let people enjoy each other to help make the discussion around immigration a more joyful and productive one.”

There will also be many art exhibits including a custom-built “Ellis Island” entrance immerses attendees in video, audio, photos and real stories of America’s early immigrants.

Admission to the festival is free, but tickets are limited. To earn a free ticket, fans must enter a ticketing lottery at dream.org. For tickets to Dreamland Festival and for more information, click here. Check out the full lineup below!
