Next month, Brooklyn Bowl will host Where It All Began, a celebration of the life of guitarist Duane Allman and the Muscle Shoals sound that his Allman Brothers Band helped shape, led by guitarist Scott Sharrard, former musical director of Gregg Allman’s solo band.
Sharrard’s house band will feature co-founding ABB member Jaimoe and fellow drummer Rich Pagano, bassist Brett Bass, keyboardist Peter Levin, trumpeter Reggie Pittman and saxophonist Jay Collins.
The collective will also welcome a slew of special guest musicians for the evening, including pedal-steel icon Robert Randolph, multi-instrumentalist Leslie Mendelson, guitarists Duane Betts, Vernon Reid, Tash Neal and Junior Mack, and vocalists Lisa Fischer and Vaneese Thomas.
Where It All Began is set for Nov. 20 at Brooklyn Bowl. Tickets and more information can be found here.
