After quickly selling out his March 16 gig with the Asheville Symphony, Warren Haynes has added a second show on March 17.

Haynes – who is an Asheville, NC native and holds his annual Christmas Jam in the city – promises to explore a wide range of material during these “symphonic journeys” including tunes by Gov’t Mule, the Allman Brothers Band and the Grateful Dead.

Both shows will fly under the banner of “Warren Haynes Presents: Dreams & Songs – A Symphonic Journey,” and Haynes will be backed by the all-star trio of Oteil Burbridge, John Medeski and Jeff Sipe.

“We are so excited that the show sold out so quickly and we are happy to announce that we are adding a second performance,” Haynes said in a press release. “I am really looking forward to these shows and am so lucky that three of my favorite musicians in the world will be joining me – Oteil, John and Jeff. This is a project I’ve been thinking about ever since I was given the opportunity to interpret and celebrate the music of Jerry Garcia with a symphony a few years ago. When I was asked to perform at the Amadeus Festival it seemed like a great time to start diving into my own repertoire and continue my symphonic journey.”

Presale the newly-added March 17 show will kick off on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 12 Noon ET. General onsale will start Thursday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. ET.
