Bob Dylan will release the 14th installment of his Bootleg Series on Nov.2, focusing on his mid-’70s Blood on the Tracks era.
More Blood, More Tracks – The Bootleg Series Vol. 14 will be available in both a standard one CD/two LP format and a deluxe six CD edition.
All of the material on the new release stems from six recording sessions in September and December 1974, which would later coalesce into Dylan’s 1975 record Blood on the Tracks.
“Dylan cut each of these amazing performances – some of the best he ever committed to tape – one after the other, live in the studio, without headphones, and without the types of overdubs that most performers rely on to make their records sound finished,” Jeff Slate writes in the liner notes. “Instead, on these tracks, we find Dylan – just a singer with a guitar and a harmonica and a batch of great songs – delivering performances that thrill you when they’re supposed to and break your heart when they need to…. The performances are also in the purest state we’ve ever experienced them.”
According to a press release, some hidden gems within the release include “outtakes, false starts and studio banter.”
Pre-order for the standard edition, as well as the deluxe and online streaming, is currently underway.

Where's Jim when you need him?
September 24, 2018 at 9:18 amThis is hardly a “free” site, the annoying advertising commands a price, $happy needs our returning eyeballs to sell it. Just because he gets interns to cut and paste “journalism” for free doesn’t excuse the half assed writing and proofreading these clowns put out. Once their dreams of “making it” in the music business dissolve, they are still going to have to find paying jobs – so kids, better put in a better effort NOW!

September 23, 2018 at 5:56 pmChristopher Charlie,
It would take someone 30 seconds or less to change that 8 to a 7. This is just lame on their part. Don’t defend their laziness.
So, that aside, who thinks they’ll get this? It’s too expensive for my tastes, but if it gets to the $100 range, I might be tempted to take the plunge.

September 21, 2018 at 2:41 pmI think what happened was that the “writer” came a bit late to the party and thought that because they didn’t hear the record until the mid-80s, that was when Dylan recorded it. Because surely it could not have existed before they became aware of it.
Can't read a calendar
September 21, 2018 at 8:33 am1975 is the mid 80s????
Wankers
September 20, 2018 at 1:51 pmNo. They absolutely do not proofread, or apparently even care to do proper research. Really a fucking shame how journalism has changed into this copy and paste mentality. I get it, jambands.com is not the upper echelon of reporting but have at least a shred of fucking dignity about your work. You’re putting this information on a public forum. Anyone who publishes that BOTT was mid-80s clearly needs to re-evaluate their current situation in the music business. And yet once again after being called out on a blatant error they will not correct their mistake.
Available to proofread
September 20, 2018 at 1:36 pmMid-80s? Does anyone proofread the articles?
