Dead & Company guitarist John Mayer has added some new music to his solo repertoire, with the single “New Light.”

The song – produced by Mayer and hitmaker No ID – is a glossy throwback pop tune, filled with synthesizers and Nile Rogers-like guitar riffs.

Mayer released “New Light” on his own label Snack Monkey, and there is no word on whether this signals a new Mayer solo LP on the horizon.
