Umphrey’s McGee continued their tour with the upstart group Spafford last night as the two bands stopped in San Diego for a show at The Observatory. And for the first time on the run, the two collaborated for a song during the headliner’s set.
For the “Example 1” jam in the first set that emerged out of an extended take on “Mantis,” Andrew “Red” Johnson joined Joel Cummins for a keys jam before filtering the tune back into “Mantis.”
