Prince’s legendary backing band The Revolution will reunite for two shows in September appropriately at First Avenue in Minneapolis, slated for September 2-3.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that the lineup will include Wendy Melvoin, Lisa Coleman, Bobby Z, Matt Fink and Brownmark along with special guests Dez Dickerson and Andre Cymone, both of whom served as Prince sidemen in the pre-Revolution era.

In a statement, the band said, “Only by playing for you, the fans, can we be Prince’s Revolution. He gives Us 2 oneanother now, as we all start to heal and fill forever emptiness with sound. 2gether we are The Revolution.”
