Mike Gordon sat in with Max Creek at the Higher Ground in South Burlington, VT last night. The Phish bassist took the stage at the end of the first set for “Wild Side” and “Stay With Me.” Mike Gordon Band keyboardist Tom Cleary also joined the group for a few songs like “Cruel World”. Gordon has sat in with Max Creek at least 14 times over the years, and guitarist Scott Murawski is also a member of the Mike Gordon Band. Max Creek will be playing at the Downtown Rocks for Newtown benefit festival for the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Hartford, CT tomorrow night.
