Live Oak, FL’s annual Wanee Festival is now in full swing. Widespread Panic headlined last night’s festivities and brought out North Mississippi Allstars guitarist Luther Dickinson to play slide guitar on “Stop Breakin Down Blues.” A bit later his brother Cody Dickinson emerged for one of Widespread Panic’s drum segments. The collaborations continued earlier this afternoon during Oteil Burbridge and the Lee Boys’ set. Both Kofi Burbridge and Nigel Hall joined in the collaborative performance while Roosevelt Collier emerged during Keller Williams’ performance. As of press time, Warren Haynes Band is in the middle of a cover of Allen Toussaint’s “Sneakin’ Sally Through the Alley.” The festival will continue tonight with performances by Robert Plant & The Band of Joy and The Allman Brothers Band, among many others.
