Last spring Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes, John McCauley of Deer Tick, and Matthew Vasquez of Delta Spirit came together for a late night, unannounced performance at SXSW. They then called themselves MG&V but have since decided to move forward with the name Middle Brother. The trio will appear at a benefit performance on December 20 at the Troubadour in Los Angeles . Beyond that, the debut self-titled album from Middle Brother is set for a March 1, 2011 release. The disc collects twelve original songs and the group will tour in support of the recording.
