Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings will spend their New Year’s Eve in Times Square. The group will return from its global tour (it’s in Germany tonight) to headline at the Best Buy Theatre (formerly the Nokia) on both December 30 and 31. While the band will be out of the country through late December, on Thursday Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings will serve as the house band on “Night of Too Many Stars,” a Comedy Central special benefit show recorded to raise money and awareness for autism education. Here they will be joined by Jon Stewart, Steven Colbert, Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais, Sarah Silverman and many others.
