Hot Buttered Rum will release its next studio album, Limbs Akimbo, this summer. The album features guest appearances by Jackie Greene, ALOs Zach Gill and Nikki and Tim Bluhm, the latter of whom also produced the sessions. In addition, the album features drummer Matt Butler, who will continue to tour with the group throughout the coming year. According to the band, the album is more rooted in Americana and rock than bluegrass, a direction the group has explored since the departure of Zachary Matthews and the addition of Butler. The band will appear at Moab, UTs Desert Rocks Music Festival this weekend.
