The Tipitina’s Foundation will host is 7th Annual Instruments A Comin’ Benefit Concert on Monday, April 28. The event raises money to purchase instruments for local young musicians, with more than one millions dollars collected over the previous years. The event will take place at the original Tipitina’s Uptown Music Club, stating at 5 PM with an outdoor cultural celebration and auction. Numerous local performers will take the stage including Galactic will perform with Johnny Vidacovich and George Porter Jr., The Radiators, Dragon Smoke (Stanton Moore, Ivan Neville, Eric Lindell and Robert Mercurio), Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk with Zigaboo Modeliste, Rebirth Brass Band, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, Walter ‘Wolfman’ Washington, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, and Donald Harrison & the T.I.P. Interns. Little Feat also will participate, performing two sets, one of which will be an early performance for VIP ticket holders.
