Max Creek played the first Gathering of the Vibes in 1996 when the festival was known as Deadhead Heaven:: A Gathering of the Tribe and returned to the summer event each year through 2003. Though Max Creek has skipped the past few festivals, the band will return to the Vibes this July to share the stage with Bob Weir & RatDog, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Levon Helm, moe., Guster, George Clinton and many others. In addition, on May 1 Max Creek will play the official Gathering of the Vibes Pre-Party for Charity at Farfield, CTs Farfield Theater. Connecticut jamband King for a Day, who is celebrating its 4th year at the Vibes, will also appear at the benefit.
