Levon Helm is currently completing his next studio record, the follow-up to 2007’s Dirt Farmer. Helm will sing on all the tracks, which unlike its predecessor will introduce original songs as well as covers. In addition, the results are said to have a bit more of an electric feel, inspired by Helm’s steady performances with his current touring band. This group will deliver its next Midnight Ramble this coming Saturday in Woodstock, NY with Puss N Boots opening the show. Looking ahead, in addition to two nights at the Beacon Theatre on March 5 and 6, the group will appear at Red Rocks on June 13.
