This past November, Van Morrison performed his 1968 album Astral Weeks in its entirety at the Hollywood Bowl. Among the musicians who joined him for the special Astral Weeks sets were guitarist Jay Berliner and bass player Richard Davis, who appeared on the original album. Now on February 10, Morrison’s new label, Listen to the Lion Records, will release Astral Weeks: Live At The Hollywood Bowl. In addition to the CD, a double-vinyl edition with three bonus tracks (including a live version of ‘Gloria’) also will be available. A concert film is in the works as well, with the details yet to come.
