Once again the Wakarusa Music Festival will hold events in 15 cities to select additional bands to perform at this year’s festival. Four or five bands will appear at each of the stops on the Waka Winter Classic. The winner of each showcase will then be invited to appear at the festival and music from these groups will be featured on the Wakarusa website. An online competition will then follow, with the top three vote-getters in this setting performing on the Revival Stage at Wakarusa. The first stop is Club Dada in Dallas, TX on February 1, with a January 18 deadline to submit materials via Sonicbids.
