Medeski Martin & Wood have announced that they ‘haven’t forgotten about New York City!’ As a result, the band has confirmed that from February 17-19 the group will perform shows ‘in three small clubs throughout downtown NYC.’ The group has no other gigs confirmed for 2008, before heading down to Florida and Jam Cruise. After sailing the high seas, John Medeski will head back to New York for a January 10 performance at the Hiro Ballroom with Melvin Gibbs’ Elevated Entity, which also will feature Vernon Reid, Amayo (Antibalas), HPrizm (Anti-Pop Consortium), Casey Benjamin and others.
