Rubblebucket is a ten-piece Vermont-based Afrobeat/rock band that features John Browns Body members Alex Toth and Kalmia Traver, along with Mike Gordon percussionist Craig Myers. With Toth and Traver busy gigging with JBB, Rubblebucket has performed only scattered dates over the past few months. The band will rectify this with a four show run that opens on Thursday night at Burlington’s Higher Ground. From there the group will travel to Manchester, Connecticut for a Friday night performance at The Main Pub, followed by shows on Saturday and Sunday at New York City’s Pianos and then Johnny Ds in Somerville, MA. Rubberbucket released its debut recording Roses Dream earlier this year and a track from this disc won the July Relix Jam-Off competition.
