Paul Simon will headline the next Revenge of the BookEaters benefit at New Yorks Town Hall on October 7. The singer/songwriter will top off a bill that includes Thao Nguyen and Zach Rogue, comedian John Oliver and the Department of Eagles, the dorm room project of Grizzly Bears Daniel Rossen and his NYU roommate Fred Nicolaus. Simon also performed with the members of Grizzly Bear during his recent residency at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. In addition, the event, which benefits 826NYC’s free programming for children, will feature readings by Ira Glass, Jonathan Franzen and Eric Bogosian. Past Revenge of the BookEaters performers have include David Byrne, Jim James, Broken Social Scene and Feist, among others.
