A few days after Robert Plants surprise appearance at Fairport Convention’s annual Cropredy Convention, Jimmy Page took the stage in Beijing this weekend as part of the 2008 Olympics’ closing ceremony. Page offered a take on Led Zeppelins classic Whole Lotta Love with British R&B star Leona Lewis on lead vocals. Lewis, who took top honors on the UK TV show The X Factor, was born five years after Led Zeppelin parted ways in 1980. The duos performance was part of an Olympic handoff to 2012 Olympic hosts London, England. The closing ceremonies also featured performances by a host of Chinese musicians and international sports stars.
